Guess what:
I'm addicted to knitting
and I might end up in a band

I finally started to realize what it is I've been wanting, what it is I've been doing wrong this whole time, and how I was going to change it - all to find out that my timing is horrible, that I'm probably far too late, and that I completely deserve it. I always thought I was playing it careful, but I've been playing it completely wrong, and now I have no idea what to do. I guess it's time to find my cave for real this time.
Or shut my face up and go make some bread. Yeah, that sounds good. :D

On Valentine's Day
How does the observance of a day of martyrdom evolve into a day of romance? Well, there are a couple historical-based theories involving secret marriage performances and the misinterpretation of poetry, so that's understandable. (Shush-don't call me a nerd.) But then how does a celebratory day of romance turn into a once-a-year show of affection?
Where Valentine's Day is concerned, I would much rather spend the entire year doing little romantic things for one another than to expect an expensive piece of jewelry or a reservation at an upscale restaurant for one night. It makes me sad to think of all the people who expect these great and expensive things, who depress themselves if they are disappointed. Why do we represent something as immaterial as love with the most material of gifts? I just want to live every day with my significant other so that we don't feel we need a holiday to recognize how we feel about each other.
'Nuff said.
So there, to all you who said I was a love-hater!

Hum
Breakfast on the hood and then you
Get behind the wheel
Grey houses pass, their shadows cast
Upon our broken deal
Raindrops fall and catch the sun, all
Curious and bleak
And you don't speak, so all that's left for
Me to do is think
Would you feel my touch and know how much
It means to me?
Could I look into your eyes and cry
Believe me?
Could I waste a day or two beside you
Wondering
What happened then?
Your smile lights a place inside that
I don't always feel
But it tears a piece away to know
That it isn't real
I've always given truth to you, when
Truth is what you ask
And though I'm right here next to you,
you think I'm somewhere else
Would you feel my touch and know how much
It means to me?
Could I look into your eyes and cry
Believe me?
Could I waste a day or two beside you
Wondering
What happened then?
Will it happen again?
Get behind the wheel
Grey houses pass, their shadows cast
Upon our broken deal
Raindrops fall and catch the sun, all
Curious and bleak
And you don't speak, so all that's left for
Me to do is think
Would you feel my touch and know how much
