Back To Work

Back to work after two vacations in a row is precisely the way to put a damper on anyone's day. And to make it worse, my friend has decided to burden me with his romantic struggles as of 20 minutes ago. Tell me one thing, those who know me even slightly: Do I, in any way, look like someone who knows anything about relationships? I mean come on! I would love to help, really I would, but this is coming from the man who declares to everyone that I am an emotional iceburg. So why does he ask me how to handle heartbreak? We will never know. I told him to go play darts with the boys and move on.

As for my vacations, they were sehr sehr wunderbar! Yellowstone July 11-14, and Cedar City July 18-20. I drove the entire time for both. O_o Waugh. I think my spine has curved a bit more. Just what I need. But, overall, it was heaps good. (That was for you, Em.) I got one of the most painful sunburns I have ever experienced, which I got to peel this weekend, and it was so much fun. I also got to see 3 miles worth of geysers, as well as elk, a coyote, and a couple buffalo. I swear, buffalo have no regard for people who have to wait and wait and wait for them to cross the road, wasting thousands of dollars of gas. But I enjoyed seeing them anyway. Then I got to see the southern branch of the sexiest family to ever walk the planet. I am very grateful to my aunt and uncle for letting us hooligans stay there, and for feeding us and everything! The play was fun too. The Taming of the Shrew. Goodness, that woman has a set of lungs.

Also, I must take a minute and express my undying and unconditional love for the new Batman movie, which I saw at the 12:01 Friday morning showing. (Bwahaha yes I love to brag about it.) Let me just say:

I will never love any man as much as I loved that movie.

Well, maybe that's not entirely true. But I suspect I am pretty darn close. I recommend the movie to everyone except young children, and maybe aichmophobes, batophobes (haha! Pun not intended), dementophobes, dikephobes, nyctophobes, and....well, you get the idea.

-INTERRUPTION- Gaaawwwwsh I hate it when coworkers stare at you as you come out of the bathroom.

So anyway, before I sign off for the day, (I think my shoes are cutting off the circulation to my toes, and they should probably be attended to) I will pose a thought:

Since I got back from Yellowstone, I could smell a change in the air. (And don't worry, this was AFTER I showered for the first time in 4 days.) I'm not sure if it's just because I am craving a change or what, but either way, it needs to happen, and I think I need to get away. So I want to move and finish school, and I have been thinking Utah Valley University; I would be thrilled to go to the one in Heber, but they don't have my study program. So Provo. Perks: 1. Not too far away. (can still visit the fam and friends from the single's ward.) 2. Lots of young people. 3. Lots to do, as far as outdoor stuff and culture. 4. My work has a branch there so I could try to get transferred. 5. That is where BYU is, which means there will be LOTS of work for my intended profession as a wedding photographer. :D I have also been thinking about minoring in linguistics, since I have always had a knack for languages. So, UVU's pretty much the only school I have heard would be really good for my major and not too far away, so if any of you have any suggestions on a good place to get a degree in those fields, I would greatly appreciate it.
Lurve!
